Unleash your creativity and style with a fully customizable DIY Charm Bar experience! Our customizable charm bar class allows you to design and learn the process to assemble a unique piece of jewelry that reflects your personal style and personality.

Step 1: Choose your base. Pick between a variety of gold-plated or stainless steel chain options for your bracelet or necklace.

Step 2: The perfect fit. We'll custom-cut the chain to your desired length for ultimate comfort.

Step 3: Personalize with charms. Select your favorite charms from our wide variety of charm options to add a special, personalized touch.

Step 4: Assembly. Learn the technique needed for opening and closing jump rings and attaching charms to your chain using jewelry pliers.

For months, the local pub was home to a run-of-the-mill trivia game. Until one night, it was home to a murder! A local player dropped dead in this otherwise friendly battle of wits, and the game hasn't run again since... until tonight.

Tonight, we're enlisting your help to solve this mystery the only way we know how: Through a game of pub trivia. Each round, your group will answer trivia questions, which will, in turn, unlock details of the murder, uncover backstories and ultimately answer the greatest question of them all: Whodunnit?

So form a team with your sleuthiest friends and see if you can solve The Case of The Poisoned Patron!

Join local authors Lawrence Zaccaro and Jimmy Bennett in the taproom for a local author talk and Q&A. Talks will begin at 11 a.m. and the authors will stay afterwards for Q&A and book signing.

Author biographies:

Lawrence Zaccaro lives in Waterford, CT. He has written several children’s books (Crumbs: The Unauthorzied Biography, Auntie Wintie and the Plopes, Amy and the Orca) two novels (Chandler’s List and Convergent), and invented the card game Wordplay.

Jimmy Bennet has been a local chef in the Mystic area for over 45 years. Later in life, he turned his creativity to writing and has authored 4 books in the ‘William Gillette series’. Recently he was published in “The Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine”. He is also the Host/Producer of a television show, ‘Books and Beyond’, on SEC-TV. He has recently released the first story in a new series highlighting the rich history of Mystic and the surrounding communities.

We'll be offering "big talk" conversational prompts on them to get you started, and we'll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from, like, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" We'll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.

New London Recreation Department presents the Brew Run 5K and 1 mile race sponsored by Tox Brewing Co! Enjoy a beautiful flat 5K starting and ending on Bank Street. At the conclusion of the race everyone 21+ will receive a ticket for a beer and pizza slice at Tox Brewing Co- just steps from the finish line. Those under 21 will receive a ticket for soda.

T-shirts free for all those registered by April 11, 2025. All donations and proceeds from the race go to support scholarships for New London Recreation programs.

Pitch-A-Friend is a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates friendship by allowing friends to give short slide presentations about their remarkable single friends to a lively audience of available singles. Whether you’re pitching a friend or just here to mingle, this night is all about meeting amazing singles and having a fantastic time.

How It Works:

Want to pitch your friend? Reserve a pitch spot by filling out the online form. Once you’re confirmed, create a 3-5 minute slide presentation showcasing why your friend is an incredible catch. Describe their best qualities, share a few fun facts, and include what they’re looking for in a relationship. This isn’t a roast but a chance to uplift your friend in a positive way, with the aim of helping them find a connection. You can see the guidelines and some examples here. Pitch slots are limited per event, so sign up in advance!

Just want to watch and mingle? Come hang out for free! Bring your friends along to enjoy the fun and meet other fantastic singles.

After the Presentations:

Stick around for our Single Mingle Mixer! This is your chance to chat, make connections, and maybe see if sparks fly. With around 6-11 presentations per event, you’ll have the chance to meet singles in a warm, friendly environment without any pressure.

Picture this: You sit down for a night of games. A gaming concierge walks you through several games over the course of the night. You play classics you love and discover brand new games you've never heard of, playing each with a different group of fun singles. All while in a great establishment with plenty of delicious options on tap. At the end of the night, you give your gaming concierge a list of the folks you met that you'd like to date and a list of those you met that you'd like to just hang out with as friends. If any two people put down the same name as each other in either column, then your gaming concierge will make sure you get each other's e-mail address and you can coordinate a time to hang out.
